Invoices & Receipts
Every charge to your DoesItHaveIt? account generates a PDF invoice. You can download invoices at any time from the dashboard, and they are automatically emailed to your account's billing email address when a charge occurs.
Downloading invoices
- Go to Dashboard → Billing → Invoices
- The Invoices page lists all past charges in reverse chronological order
- Click the Download PDF button on any invoice row to download it immediately
Invoices are available indefinitely — there is no limit on how far back you can access your billing history.
Invoice format and numbering
Invoices are standard PDF documents. Invoice numbers follow the format DIHI-YYYYMMDD-XXXXX (e.g., DIHI-20260601-00182), where the date portion reflects the charge date and the sequence number is unique per invoice.
What's on your invoice
Each invoice includes:
- Invoice number — for reference in support requests or expense reports
- Invoice date — the date the charge was processed
- Billing period — the subscription period covered (for subscription charges)
- Account holder — your name and email address on file
- Billing address — your billing address as entered on your payment method
- Line items:
- Subscription charge (plan name, billing cycle, per-period amount)
- Credit pack purchases (type, quantity, unit price, pack price)
- Prorated charges (for mid-cycle upgrades)
- Bundle discounts (shown as a negative line item)
- Subtotal and total — all amounts in USD
- Payment method — last 4 digits of your card and card brand
- Transaction ID — for reference with your card issuer
Updating your billing information
To update your billing address (for invoice accuracy or tax purposes):
- Go to Dashboard → Billing → Payment Method → Edit billing details
- Update your name, address, or other billing details
- Save changes — the updated information appears on all future invoices
To update your payment card:
- Go to Dashboard → Billing → Payment Method → Replace card
- Enter your new card details
- Save — your next charge will use the new card
Updating your payment method does not affect invoices for past charges.
Email receipts
A receipt email is sent automatically to your account's email address immediately after every successful charge. The email contains a summary of what was charged and a link to download the full PDF invoice from the dashboard.
Receipt emails cannot be disabled — they are required by our payment processor (Stripe). If you don't receive receipt emails, check your spam folder or verify that your account email address is correct in Settings → Profile.
Disputing a charge
If you believe you were charged incorrectly:
- Download the relevant invoice from Dashboard → Billing → Invoices
- Email billing@doesithaveit.com with:
- Your account email address
- The invoice number in question
- A description of the discrepancy
- The billing team will respond within 2 business days
Dispute deadline: Charge disputes must be submitted within 30 days of the charge date. Disputes submitted after 30 days cannot be processed.
For the fastest resolution, include the invoice number and your account email in your initial message. This allows the billing team to locate your account and the specific transaction immediately without back-and-forth.
Taxes
DoesItHaveIt? is a US-based service. Applicable sales tax is charged based on your billing address's jurisdiction. Colorado sales tax applies where required by law. Taxes are shown as a separate line item on invoices where applicable.
If you are a business that is tax-exempt, contact billing@doesithaveit.com with your tax exemption certificate before your next billing cycle to have sales tax removed from future charges.
